Well, we have entered a new season here in Idaho... the cow raising?!?
Yes, you heard right... we have 2 bull calves that the boys are bottle feeding. They are temporarily with us, but will soon move to some "country" home... since our CC&R's kinda prohibit livestock.
The babies need to be bottle fed for 6weeks, then they will go off to graze for a little over a year... Yes, you guessed it, they will then become lunch & dinner for a couple of years. :):):)
Not all the kids are on board to eat our new "pets", but in time they will/should come to terms with the idea. For now, they are loving the feeding (1 gallon bottles--2 to 3 times a day) and checking on them every 10min to give us up to date info.
Well, that's what's new in Idaho...

Holy cow! Only in Idaho :0) My girls would love the first part ....feeding the babies but they would freak about the second half they would easily become strict veggies' in a heart beat. Good luck to your family, I guess Terry's good old country ways are living out in your children. :0)
Post some pics of your new pets.... uh, I mean dinner!
This will be a great experience for the kids. They are making new memories! I bet that your neighbors love you guys! I'm surprised the police haven't been sent out by now.
