Patrick's 18th
Patrick had a full weekend of activities, so we celebrated...privately... so he thought!
Actually, Friday Terry & I took Pat to lunch. Sat. he received his cards and gifts... Saturday night, we happened to get up to leave Red Robin (w/our friends) and noticed Pat & some of his friends in the corner... I got my waitress and .... well... take a look!!!

Our cow went to new home...
Buddy moved to a farm today sad day for the boys... here are our goodbye pics... of course they will see him weekly :) thanks Nini
In a Galaxy far far away....
Gabriel turned 13 today!!!
He wanted Star Wars Theme and thanks to Nini it was a great success!!!
We had Jedi Training (relay race) in an asteroid field (water balloons thrown at them)… We drank Yoda Soda, had Galactic Cheese Bread, Sidious Salsa, Skywalker Chips, Ewok Bites, Droids in a blanket, Lava Rocks (pizza rolls), Galaxy Meatballs, Wookie Cookies!!!!
I found water sabers, so in the relay they had to fill a jar, then the adults all grabbed them and soaked the boys! I also found sabers that have bubbles in them. We had glow in the dark bracelets for each team (their 'force'). We made light sabers out of water noodles... Gabriel was very pleased with the outcome!
Below are some pics of the Out of This World Experience :)

The sun does come up tomorrow...
Wow, what a day yesterday was...
My kids had just come to terms witht the fact that some day waaaay down the road, the cows would die, then to have one die so early and under their care... wow, neither Terry or I were ready for that.
Andrew spent the entire day checking on "Buddy". We allowed Drew to have the final decision on the name since he spent all day taking care of him... (and he found the other one dead :(:( )
So Buddy is jumpin around today, full of life.. Terry's buddies are trying to convince us to get another to replace the dead one... no thanks! If we were in an area with property, we would consider it, but as it stands right now, I am not up to raising livestock. :)
So today the sun is shining, the cow is dancing, kids are smiling and things are as it should be!

Sad day....
So sad...
one of our baby cows died today... we aren't sure why. It was gaining weight this week, but seemed fine til this morning. He wouldn't eat... then 5 hrs later...died!
The boys are sad, but Andrew is a wreck, which means I am a wreck watching him cry...
A sad sad sad day!

Welcome to Idaho
Well, we have entered a new season here in Idaho... the cow raising?!?
Yes, you heard right... we have 2 bull calves that the boys are bottle feeding. They are temporarily with us, but will soon move to some "country" home... since our CC&R's kinda prohibit livestock.
The babies need to be bottle fed for 6weeks, then they will go off to graze for a little over a year... Yes, you guessed it, they will then become lunch & dinner for a couple of years. :):):)
Not all the kids are on board to eat our new "pets", but in time they will/should come to terms with the idea. For now, they are loving the feeding (1 gallon bottles--2 to 3 times a day) and checking on them every 10min to give us up to date info.
Well, that's what's new in Idaho...
